Job Description

The Diocese of Sioux City is seeking a Catholic in good standing for the position of Coordinator for the Department of Faith Formation. This position provides direction and support for parishes in the Sioux City Diocese in areas of evangelization, leadership formation, adult and youth catechesis, sacramental preparation / religious education, and ministry under the supervision of the Director of Faith Formation. Bachelor's degree in theology or another theological program preferred. Work experience in coordinating /directing parish ministries preferred. Previous training and experience relating to family ministry is preferred. Ability to formulate and implement processes with many interrelated components and work collaboratively as a member of a team. Strong communication skills required; able to communicate with pastors, staff, parishioners, and administrative boards. Knowledge and understanding of a foreign language and cultural competency are preferred.
