Job Summary:
The Director of Technology is a leadership-level position responsible for the management, integration, and strategic development of all technology systems across the entire campus-including the school (450+ students), parish office, rectory, and church.
This individual will oversee infrastructure, instructional technology, security systems, live streaming, asset tracking, and budgeting. As a Director of Technology, this person will also help integrate technology into instruction, assist teachers in developing digital curriculum, and provide guidance for effective classroom technology use. The role blends technical management, instructional innovation, and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Planning
Lead the campus-wide vision and implementation of technology across all departments (school, parish office, church, rectory).
Assist in short- and long-range planning, including evaluation and selection of software and hardware systems.
Work collaboratively with school and church administrators to ensure alignment across all departments.
Maintain records and prepare reports on technology usage, asset tracking, and support services provided to all campus personnel.
Technology Integration & Instructional Support
Oversee the integration of technology into the school curriculum, including teacher training, lesson planning, and digital learning strategies.
Develop and maintain digital curriculum guidelines to support effective tech-based instruction.
Recommend academic programs that would benefit from increased tech integration.
Maintain and develop the websites for both the church and school, ensuring accessibility, up-to-date content, and technical functionality; assist with social media messaging and strategy across all platforms used by the campus to support communication and engagement.
Infrastructure & Systems Administration
Maintain campus-wide network infrastructure, including Windows Server, Active Directory, IP routing, VLANs, and GPOs.
Manage NDI-connected PTZ cameras, YouTube live streaming, and A/V systems used by both school and church.
Support and maintain servers, Wi-Fi, printers, smartboards, security cameras, and other connected systems.
Ensure the smooth operation of Google Workspace, GoGuardian, and other learning technologies.
Asset Management & Procurement
Coordinate and track all technology equipment and software across the campus.
Maintain and manage a comprehensive inventory system to track devices, replacements, licenses, and warranties.
Assist with technology purchasing and maintain the departmental budget, ensuring compliance with purchasing policies.
Provide budget reports and updates on campus technology assets and expenditures.
Support & Collaboration
Provide technical support and training for staff, faculty, and church personnel.
Collaborate across departments to ensure consistent communication, shared tools, and campus-wide support.
Respond to service needs and escalate issues when appropriate.
Maintain documentation for all systems, procedures, and hardware/software configurations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Educational Technology, or related field (preferred).
Demonstrated experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, VLANs, GPOs, and IP-based networking.
Experience with Google Workspace, GoGuardian, livestreaming, NDI, and PTZ cameras.
Strong project management, documentation, and inventory tracking skills.
Familiarity with instructional technology, curriculum planning, and teacher support.
Exceptional troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Understanding of basic networking concepts, including Layer 2 switching and IP routing.
Experience with automation tools is a plus.
