The Choral Editor & Market Development Manager will play a key role in advancing OCP's vision of expanding its presence and impact in the choral music industry. This dual-role position combines artistic and liturgical expertise with strategic marketing leadership to ensure that OCP's choral offerings are both of the highest quality and effectively promoted to reach a wider audience of choral conductors.
Editorial & Artistic Leadership
Curate, edit, and develop new choral repertoire that reflects excellence in artistry, liturgical appropriateness, and accessibility for diverse choirs.
Collaborate with composers, arrangers, and other editorial staff to produce high-quality scores and recordings.
Provide thought leadership in choral programming, repertoire trends, and liturgical applications.
Ensure consistency of editorial standards and OCP's mission-driven values across all choral publications.
Market Development & Strategic Growth
Develop and execute marketing strategies that expand OCP's reach within the choral industry, particularly among conductors, choir directors, and institutions.
Identify emerging trends, partnerships, and opportunities in sacred and choral music markets.
Represent OCP at conferences, conventions, and industry events, building strong relationships with choral leaders and organizations.
Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to design campaigns, digital content, and resources that showcase OCP's choral catalog.
Use data-driven insights to evaluate performance of choral products and initiatives, adjusting strategies for maximum impact.
Grow OCP's choral music revenue.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE -
5-7 years of experience in choral conducting, music education, sacred music or related field.
Bachelor degree in choral conducting, music education, sacred music or related field.
Advanced knowledge of choral music.
Strong editorial skills with experience in choral score preparation, notation software, and publication standards.
Strong knowledge of the choral music market and conductor community and relationships with ACDA and its membership, enabling the development and oversight of targeted marketing campaigns that effectively engage and resonate with choral conductors.
Excellent communication and networking skills; ability to engage both artistic and institutional audiences.
Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and the ability to balance artistic integrity with market needs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE -
8+ years of experience in choral conducting, music education, sacred music or related field.
Advanced degree in choral conducting, music education, sacred music or related field.
Deep understanding of Catholic liturgy, repertoire for worship and choral music for academic institutions.
Demonstrated success in marketing, business development, or program growth within the music or arts sector.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Estimated starting pay range between $89,000.00 and $95,600, depending on qualifications and experience.
