Job Description

Position Summary:
The Hospitality Services Supervisor will work to support the functional effectiveness of the AFC hospitality team through handling administrative matters for the department. The employee will be responsible for overseeing, providing guidance to, and supporting the cleaning staff and will regularly support the food service and registration functions.

Reports To: Hospitality Manager
Direct Reports: Housekeeping Associates
Exempt Status: Non-Exempt Position
Status: Full-Time Location: Bloomingdale, OH (on-site)
Salary Range: Range depends on skill level and overall experience.

Major Duties and Functions:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff.
Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure a clean and welcoming environment for guests, staff, and visitors.
Ensure that all safety and security procedures are followed.
Train new housekeeping staff in proper cleaning techniques and safety protocols.
Handle customer complaints in a professional manner.
Develop, implement, and organize hospitality policies, procedures, and standards.
Event and hospitality materials/supplies/services acquisition (cleaning products, furnishings, food, rentals, etc.).
Perform additional duties as assigned, including special projects to assist in the overall expansion of the AFC's mission of Family Consecration and the utilization of Catholic Familyland.

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma and 2+ years supervisory experience

Preferred Experience:
2+ years experience in an administrative role
1+ years cleaning experience
1+ years experience in food service

Physical Requirements:
The employee should be expected to experience prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk and using a computer.
The employee will usually be required to stand and walk for 30 minutes or more.
The employee may occasionally be required to stand, reach, bend and lift up to 40 lbs.
The employee will be required to work in confined spaces.
Specific vision and hearing abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision and ability to hear conversations in office and group settings.
Attendance at meetings or events may be required.

Schedule:
Day shift
Occasional evening shift
Monday to Friday
Approx. two Saturday or Sunday shifts per month (avg.)
