Job Description
The Archdiocese of Hartford (Connecticut) is seeking a highly professional, discreet, and organized Executive Assistant to support a chancery executive. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the executive's office through expert calendar management, high-volume communications handling, event coordination, and administrative support. The ideal candidate is resourceful, collaborative, and experienced in supporting executive-level leadership-ideally with previous experience working in a religious setting.Key Responsibilities
• Manage the Executive's complex calendar, appointments, and travel, ensuring alignment with internal and public events.
• Handle all correspondence and inquiries, including drafting responses and managing communication with parishioners, clergy, and departments.
• Support major events and programs, including logistics, materials preparation, and follow-up.
• Coordinate with church councils and committees, maintaining records, minutes, and election processes.
• Maintain office systems and confidential files, including legal documents and church decrees.
• Collaborate with administrative teams and contribute to process improvements and workflow optimization.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Theology, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: 3-5 years of executive-level administrative experience; knowledge of Catholic Church operations strongly preferred.

Additional Details
• Occasional travel required.
• Must be available to support parish and diocesan events as needed (occasional evenings/weekends).
• Role has a work location in-person at the Pastoral Center in Bloomfield.
