Job Description
Job Summary:The House Manager oversees the daily operations in the home, supervises the missionaries, maintains the house budget, and serves in an administrative capacity. This is a live-in position offering a monthly stipend.
Supervisory -
As the leader of the in-home team, nurture a culture of professionalism, love and support for the moms and other staff, creating an environment of stability
Develop duty schedules, including shifts, vacations, holidays and days off
Make sure all positions are filled, that replacements are assigned during vacation, and transitions are smooth
Manage volunteer orientations and supervise days of service
Supervise the implementation of policies in the home. Model and ensure adherence to house rules and norms
Coordinate decisions with the managerial team.
Operations -
Create a weekly chore chart for the house that includes participation from moms, staff and volunteers
Oversee the upkeep of the house; make sure the "First Impressions Maintenance" is being done in community / tour-ready space
Assist Executive Director in credit card reconciliations, and researching vendors
Distribute and maintain key cards for entrance into the building
Model the importance of personal presence with staff and moms
Support and build relationships within the home.
Create a grocery list that is semi specific to the tastes/cultures in the house, and purchase the items for the community
Ensure the home is kept in working order, prioritizing safety hazards
Act as a Liaison between The Cenacle (pregnancy center on the property) and the Capuchin Friars (landlords) to ensure all parties on the property are on the same page
Coordinate with staff in response to transportation needs
Supervise the physical condition of the home, contact and coordinate with vendors for occasional repairs and maintenance
Supervise and assist with Move Ins and Move Outs of moms and families
Attend and coordinate intake calls and meetings with prospective residents
Collaborative Leadership Efforts -
Participate in weekly leadership meetings for easy and transparent information sharing.
Assist with mom duties such as preparing rooms for new moms, fulfilling donation requests, and attending intakes.
Consult Program Manager prior to issuing a violation or asking a mom to leave. If a final decision is needed, consult the Executive Director.
Be available for emergency/crisis/major issues that arise at the house. Provide onsite during crisis or emergency situations. Be intentionally aware of conflicts, difficulties or stressors. Follow up with the Executive Director.
Maintain emergency equipment, including AED, first aid kit, fire extinguishers, etc
Mediates and leads important conversation/safe space conversations with moms, staff, volunteers etc as needed.
Assumes any additional projects or tasks as assigned by the Executive Director.
Schedule -
Five days a week
This is a live-in position with a flexible schedule.
Some evenings, weekends, and holidays are required.

Qualifications -
Excellence in organizational, supervisory and communications skills.
Experience working with people from diverse, racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds

Valid driver's license with good driving record and proof of insurance.
Must be 21 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications -
BA in related field
At least one year of service experience.
Understanding of community living, cultural competencies, and the intersectional nature of homelessness, poverty, ACEs, and trauma informed care.
Experience with and or exposure to infants.
