Teller

Job Description

The is an entry-level position responsible for performing various teller duties and providing exceptional service to credit union members. This role requires developing a thorough understanding of the credit union's products, services, and procedures. This position may require travel between and work at different branch locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
• Process member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments accurately and efficiently.
• Operate the drive-up teller services, including assisting members, scanning checks, and processing church deposits.
• Assist with night drop and mail deposits.
• Count and manage vault cash; prepare funds for transfer to the Federal Reserve and other branches.
• Handle check holds appropriately and in compliance with credit union policies.
• Manage coin machine operations, including running coin and changing bags.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills to interact with members and colleagues effectively.
• Basic Math Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations quickly and accurately.
• Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize duties efficiently.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Positive Attitude: Maintain a friendly and positive demeanor at all times.
• Professional Appearance: Adhere to the credit union's dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
• Bilingual (Preferred): Ability to speak multiple languages is an advantage.

Salary: Commensurate with experience.
