Position Title: PMO Technical Business Analyst
Department: PMO

Position Summary:
The PMO Technical Business Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the Project Management Office by combining strong analytical capabilities, technical expertise, and project governance knowledge. This role ensures that projects are executed effectively through detailed requirements gathering, process improvement analysis, data-driven insights, and alignment with PMO standards and methodologies.
Educational or Certification Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
• PMO PBA Certification Preferred
• 3-5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Analyst, or PMO Analyst
• Experience working within a PMO or project-driven organization.
• PROSCI Change Management certification (preferred)

Experience Requirements:
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Planner, and Teams).
• Strong data analysis skills: experience with Power BI, Excel (advanced), SQL preferred.
• Familiarity with integration workflows, APIs, or system configuration (preferred).
• Understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Excellent documentation skills (BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.

Duties:
• This position may require occasional domestic and/or international travel to attend meetings, trainings, conferences, or organizational events. Travel may be conducted by airplane, automobile, bus, or other reasonable means. Travel frequency is expected to be limited and scheduled in advance when possible.
• This role requires the ability to perform standard office functions, including prolonged sitting, standing, and computer use. Occasional lifting, carrying, or moving materials weighing up to ten pounds may be required.
• Accountable for driving portfolio visibility, influencing decision-making, and enabling successful business outcomes through data-driven analysis, technical expertise, and strong governance practices.
• This role proactively identifies risks, optimization opportunities, and transformation initiatives that enhance delivery maturity and organizational value.
• Partner with project managers to support planning, tracking, governance, and reporting across the project portfolio.
• Assist in defining project scopes, objectives, and deliverables aligned with PMO frameworks.
• Monitor project progress using PMO tools.
• Support portfolio reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and executive-level presentations.
• Lead requirements elicitation activities, including stakeholder interviews, document analysis, and process walkthroughs.
• Translate business needs into clear, structured deliverables such as BRDs, FRDs, technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Elicit and document both functional and non-functional requirements (performance, security, data quality, and compliance).
• Understand system architectures, data flows, and integration patterns.
• Read and interpret technical documentation, data models, and API specifications.
• Identify automation or integration opportunities and document technical impacts.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of SOPs and governance frameworks.
• Assist in enforcing PMO standards, templates, and methodologies across all project teams.
