Since its founding in 1892 by the Dominican Sisters of Caldwell, the mission of Mount St. Dominic Academy has been to empower young women to know their dignity, pursue the truth, and live in charity.
Mount St. Dominic Academy seeks a dynamic, faith-filled Physics teacher to join a deeply committed and engaged faculty for the 2025-2026 school year. We approach learning with both joy and rigor, and we are looking for a Physics educator who brings that same energy, passion, and purpose to the classroom.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage assigned Physics classes, fostering a love of scientific inquiry and understanding.
Deliver engaging daily instruction aligned with the Academy's curriculum and the needs of students.
Develop and implement innovative, hands-on laboratory experiences to deepen scientific knowledge.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic progress.
Establish and maintain positive, supportive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Uphold and advance the values and mission of Catholic education.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
Personal commitment to the mission of Mount St. Dominic Academy.
Bachelor's degree in Physics, Science Education, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Ability to teach Computer Science and Introduction to Engineering preferred.
An understanding of and enthusiasm for Catholic education, values, and culture.
Ability to inspire students to see the wonder of the physical world as a reflection of God's goodness.
Experience teaching high school Physics in a classroom setting is preferred.
Familiarity with integrating technology and inquiry-based learning in the science classroom.
Adaptable, flexible, and committed to collaboration and continuous growth.
Excellent communication skills and a willingness to actively engage in school life.
