Elementary Teacher (K-5 License)2026-2027 School Year
St. John the Beloved School
St. John the Beloved School is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic elementary educator.
Position Overview
• Teach elementary students for the full academic year
• Plan and deliver engaging, intellectually stimulating instruction
• Foster inquiry, creativity, and joyful learning
• Create a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment
• Support the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development of students
• Communicate professionally with students, families, colleagues, and administration
• Collaborate with parents/guardians to ensure the developmental success of every child
• Commit to ongoing professional growth
• Model and promote the mission and charism of the school
• Other duties as needed per the direction of administration
Catholic Identity Commitment
• Support the teachings, values, and traditions of the Catholic Church • Contribute to the faith life of the school community
• Uphold the ministry of Catholic education in word and example
Required Qualifications
• Hold or be eligible for Delaware licensing/certification
• Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Elementary Education from an accredited institution
• Teaching experience preferred (at least one year)
• Successful completion of all required background checks
Salary to commensurate with experience
