Job Description

Coordinator of Family Faith Formation
THE PARISH:
A large and growing parish in suburban Union County (Archdiocese of Newark) whose mission is to "to assist and accompany our parishioners into falling passionately in love with our Lord."
SOME DETAILS ON THE POSITION:
A part-time salaried position of 28 hours/week with working some weekends.
AIM:
To create and build upon the initiatives for evangelizing Family Faith Formation that accompanies the entire family to develop a closer relationship to God, Jesus Christ, and the Church.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Organize and manage sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation and Eucharist.
• Organize and build upon the present Family Faith Formation program.
• Collaborate with established teams for Baptism, Confirmation, Youth Ministry, Children's Liturgy of the Word and Vacation Bible School.
• Communicate with and be available to parents by, but not limited to, in-person encounters/interviews, email, newsletter, parish bulletin, parent meetings, and on the parish website.
• Capable of managing a budget and interacting with the Business Manager.
• Capable of maintaining the database and be familiar with Google Workspace.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong commitment to the teachings and traditions of the Roman Catholic Church.
• A working familiarity with religious formation on all age levels.
• Possess a Master Catechetical certification or working towards it or a higher degree in the area.
• Physically able to deal with the demands of the work.
