About Legatus
Legatus is a community of Catholic CEOs, executives, and their spouses committed to integrating faith, leadership, and professional excellence. Rooted in the teachings of the Church and united in prayer, formation, and fellowship, Legatus exists to inspire and support Catholic business leaders in their vocation as ambassadors for Christ in the marketplace.

The Role
We are looking for a thoughtful and mission-driven Member Engagement & Digital Content Strategist to help us share the Legatus story, foster meaningful connection among members, and elevate our digital presence. In this role, you'll bring warmth, clarity, and intention to the way we communicate-across social media, email, and member platforms-ensuring every message reflects our values and deepens engagement with our vibrant Catholic community.

Your Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Digital Presence
• Lead and implement cross-platform content strategies that inspire, inform, and invite engagement, always rooted in Legatus' mission.
• Manage day-to-day content across Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and YouTube with consistency, creativity, and professionalism.
• Create or curate thoughtful, visually cohesive content that speaks to Legatus' distinct audiences: members, prospective members, speakers, and partners.
• Stay current on social media trends and tools, adjusting strategies to remain both innovative and faithful to our brand.

Email Marketing & Member Communication
• Write, design, and coordinate weekly newsletters (The Insider, From the President's Desk) that deliver timely, relevant updates with clarity and care.
• Produce the Events & Pilgrimages bi-weekly email, showcasing opportunities for spiritual enrichment and community connection.
• Build and segment email campaigns in HubSpot, optimizing for engagement and deliverability.
• Partner closely with departments and leadership to ensure accuracy, alignment, and strategic timing in all communications.

Member Engagement & Platform Management
• Serve as a key point of contact for Legatus Connect, our private online platform, offering member support, updates, and fostering community.
• Facilitate member conversations, troubleshoot issues, and steward a welcoming digital environment during and after the platform transition.
• Host and manage monthly webinars-handling speaker outreach, promotion, live facilitation, and post-event follow-up.

Campaigns, Events & Storytelling
• Support communication strategy and execution for national events, including the Legatus Summit-from copywriting and email strategy to follow-up and engagement
• Write and edit content for member spotlights, speaker bios, campaign pages, and other brand storytelling needs across digital platforms
• Help design and distribute member surveys, analyze feedback, and share meaningful insights with leadership.
• Support internal communication and special projects that enhance our organizational mission.

Performance & Reporting
• Track and report key engagement metrics from social media and email platforms.
• Provide regular updates to inform strategy and decision-making.
• Continually seek ways to improve communication effectiveness and deepen digital engagement.

What We're Looking For
• 3-4 years of experience in digital content creation, social media, marketing, or communications-especially in mission-driven, Catholic, or nonprofit settings
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills-clear, compelling, and always on brand
• Familiarity with tools like HubSpot, Canva, and major social platforms
• A collaborative, proactive spirit who thrives in a small, purpose-driven team
• A deep respect for and alignment with the Catholic faith and the mission of Legatus
• Experience with webinar hosting and basic design tools is a plus

Additional Details
• Travel: Occasional travel may be required
• Location: Hybrid role based in Ann Arbor, MI preferred (onsite collaboration opportunities)
• Start Date: Flexible, but soon
