Job Description
FADICA CATHOLIC PHILANTHROPY NETWORKWWW.FADICA.ORG
Communications & Engagement Associate
Reports to: Executive Vice-President
Position: Full-Time, Remote, Exempt
Location: Remote (HQ in Washington, DC)
Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications
About the Opportunity
FADICA Catholic Philanthropy Network is a national community of Catholic-inspired funders committed to informed and effective giving for a vital Catholic Church and the common good. FADICA convenes, resources, and connects members, fostering member collaboration, learning and impact around shared funding interests, such as: Catholic ministries, education, Church vitality, care for creation, international giving, and more.
This is a role for an excellent and engaging writer and communicator who is mission oriented. As Communications & Engagement Associate, you'll develop the regular communications that inform and engage the FADICA member network. You will also help tell the FADICA story to specific external audiences. You will work in partnership with our collaborative and mission-driven team to create a broad content portfolio that furthers FADICA's mission.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Member communications
Our member community is the heart of FADICA. You will write communications content that engages and informs- from a quarterly newsletter, emails, and Impact initiative updates to regular program invitations and website updates. Strong, engaging short-form writing and a genuine feel for audiences are essential here.
Content and brand presence
You will generate a steady cadence of content across channels: website updates, LinkedIn posts, news items, and posts to our member digital platform, that reflect FADICA's expertise and voice in the Catholic philanthropy space. You will also write a monthly e-newsletter for prospective members. Brand consistency - in tone, messaging, and quality - is yours to steward.
Growth and Outreach Support
Working with our Marketing/Growth team, you wil research potential member organizations and develop content for potential member outreach, lead generation and engagement efforts. You will track content and campaign performance and bring data-informed recommendations to the team.
Collateral and Materials
Periodically, you will produce event flyers, membership brochures, one-pagers, and other promotional materials that represent FADICA well across contexts.
What We are Looking For:
Excellent writing skill across formats - newsletters, short-form content, posts in digital app, email campaigns - with a natural, engaging voice
Ability to translate complex concepts into engaging and compelling content
Experience managing multi-channel communications, ideally in a membership, nonprofit, or mission-driven organization
Comfort with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact), CMS tools, and social scheduling
Ability to work independently, manage a content calendar, and meet deadlines reliably
Strong attention to brand voice and editorial detail
Familiarity with philanthropy, nonprofit organizations, or Catholic ministries is strongly preferred
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
We are open to candidates at different career stages. Typically, this role suits someone with 2-5 years of communications, content, or editorial experience - though the right combination of portfolio and mission alignment matters more to us than years on a resume. Bachelor's degree in English, communications, or related area is preferred.
Shape
Work Environment:
This position is primarily remote, with occasional travel to FADICA meetings and events. FADICA HQ is in Washington, D.C.
Benefits
Comprehensive coverage for employee healthcare, vision, and dental at 100%.
Generous employer contribution to a 403B retirement savings.
15 days paid vacation, and 70 hours of sick time.
Generous benefit of 14 paid holidays.
FADICA - Catholic Philanthropy Network is an equal-opportunity employer committed to having a workforce that reflects diversity. We recognize the importance of not viewing individuals based on a single identity, and we thrive on being equitable in our recruitment process as well as in our efforts to be inclusive of all employees.
