Job Description

St. Peter's School is seeking a passionate, student-centered High School Science Teacher to join our faculty for the upcoming school year.

As a member of our high school faculty, you'll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with students while teaching engaging science courses in a college-preparatory environment that includes Advanced Placement opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities

Teach high school science courses as assigned by the principal.

Develop and implement curriculum aligned with the Diocese of Toledo and Ohio Department of Education standards.

Create a safe, engaging, and student-centered learning environment.
Inspire curiosity through hands-on, inquiry-based instruction.

Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administrators.

Maintain accurate records and fulfill other school responsibilities as assigned.

Collaborate with colleagues to support student success and strengthen our school community.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will:

Have a passion for science and a genuine desire to work with young people.

Hold a current Ohio teaching license or possess a bachelor's degree with the willingness to obtain Ohio teaching licensure.

Demonstrate strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.

Be able to pass FBI and BCI background checks and complete the Diocese of Toledo VIRTUS program.

Previous experience teaching high school students is preferred but not required.
