The Content Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic communications initiatives that expand awareness of the university's brand and support revenue growth through enrollment and advancement.
This role develops compelling written content across multiple platforms, manages institutional social media and digital content, supports undergraduate admission marketing communications, and leads media relations efforts.
Success in this role requires exceptional writing, editing, storytelling and content management skills, including the ability to produce marketing content, digital content, admission-focused communications, and press releases that advance the university's mission and strategic priorities.
The Content Marketing Manager serves as a steward of the University of Dallas brand and its core archetypes:

Through digital content creation and management, admission marketing and media relations, the position ensures that university communications consistently reflect these brand attributes and strengthen the institution's connection with prospective students, parents, alumni, donors and other key audiences.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Media and Digital Content Management
-Develop and implement content for institutional social media channels that advances brand awareness, engagement and strategic university priorities.
-Create and edit compelling written content for social media, blogs and other digital channels, ensuring a consistent voice, message and visual identity.
-Develop content that integrates institutional storytelling with enrollment, advancement and campus communications priorities.
-Monitor social media trends, audience engagement and platform performance to inform content strategy.
-Organize, track and manage digital content assets, including copy, images, videos and links, to support timely publication across social media, web and email channels.
-Coordinate digital content requests, deadlines and approvals to ensure consistent messaging and efficient workflow.
-Supervise student interns involved in content creation, social media management and digital communications projects.
Undergraduate Admission Marketing
-Partner with the Office of Undergraduate Admission to develop and implement print, email and digital communications for prospective undergraduate students and families.
-Write and edit persuasive admission marketing content that communicates the value of a University of Dallas education and supports recruitment goals.
-Develop enrollment-focused messaging and storytelling that highlights academic excellence, student outcomes, campus life and the university's Catholic liberal arts mission.
-Support admission communication campaigns by creating content for brochures, email marketing, web pages and other recruitment materials.
Media Relations
-Develop and implement public relations strategies to secure earned media coverage (local, regional and national) for academic programs, research, faculty expertise, student achievements, institutional rankings, events and university initiatives.
-Cultivate, maintain and deepen relationships with journalists, editors, producers, bloggers and other media stakeholders.
-Monitor news and media trends relevant to higher education, identify opportunities to generate positive coverage and proactively pitch story ideas.
-Write and edit press releases, media advisories, feature stories, executive communications and other public-facing content that advances the university's visibility and reputation.
-Manage publicity surrounding major institutional announcements, events, initiatives and accomplishments.
-Maintain and manage media contact databases and stay current on media best practices, emerging outlets and changes in the communications landscape.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree.
• Two (2) or more years of experience in non-profit public relations, marketing, or related field.
• Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and persuasively to a variety of audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to write press releases, feature stories, marketing copy, social media content and admission-focused communications.
• Strong storytelling ability and understanding of how to adapt content for media, marketing and recruitment purposes.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Hubspot proficiency.
• Experience with university administrative databases, such as Slate or Banner.
• Experience with Modern Campus or a comparable website platform.
