Job Description

St. Charles Parish, Hartland, is a leader in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee in discipleship / relational ministry. We are a community of Catholic Christians inspired to Meet Christ, Know Christ, Love Christ and Serve Christ through our spiritual services, educational endeavors, and community opportunities.

St. Charles Parish is looking for a Director of Evangelization with an emphasis on Small Groups. The right leader for our parish will have a passion to walk with adults and families who are authentically seeking Jesus in their faith journey. We are looking for a leader who is welcoming, outgoing, loves Christians and LOVES CHRIST. St. Charles prioritizes the evangelization of our parish as a full-time commitment, but will consider less than full time for the right candidate.

Position Title: Director of Evangelization

Supervisor: Pastor

Primary Function of this Position: This position will directly provide formation to parishioners who desire to advance their personal mission which is the mission of St. Charles, to evangelize through small groups and other various apostolates. The Director of Evangelization assists the Pastor in fostering conversion and growth in discipleship amongst the faithful and staff of St. Charles Parish and School. This person should live a prayerful life rooted in Sacred Scripture and the Sacraments. Discipleship evangelization is a relational ministry with responsibilities that include discerning, inviting, forming, training, sending and shepherding small group leaders.

Major Responsibilities:
• Discerning & Inviting -
o Reach out and develop authentic intentional relationships with St. Charles adult parishioners: new parishioners, young adults, new parents, parents, newly married, men, women and all other adult groups.
o Prayerfully discern and invite key volunteers within the small groups movement to help support and advance the mission and ministries at St. Charles Parish.
o Prayerfully discern and personally invite parishioners invite to be small group leaders.

• Forming & Training -
o Using resources provided by Evangelical Catholic, and in collaboration with key volunteers, organize and facilitate annual training services for new small group leaders.
o Regularly meet with new small group leaders for "one-on-ones".
o Form new small group leaders in the heart and habit of discipleship: Sacraments, prayer, Sacred Scripture, community, evangelization, and commitment to Christ and His Church.
o Train new small group leaders in preparing for and facilitating
Small Groups and "one-on-ones".

• Sending & Shepherding -
o Support new Small Group leaders in their efforts to personally invite new members to their groups.
o Collaborate with the Evangelical Catholic consultants for ongoing formation and training in leading the Small Group movement at St. Charles Parish.
o Develop and execute monthly and annual calendars of goals for the Small Group movement at St. Charles Parish.

• Adult Formation Opportunities -
o Develop and organize pathways for adults to engage in the life of the parish through Small Groups and stewardship.
o Support existing men and women groups at St. Charles Parish with resources, leadership, prayer and direction/guidance.
o Support new parishioner inquiries with timely connections.
o Provide relevant and inspiring reflections for parish media.

Qualifications for Successful Candidate:
• High energy and enthusiasm for planning/sharing the Catholic Faith
• Emotional intelligence with regard to respectful disposition in problem solving, collaboration and conflict resolution.
• Successful and proven abilities to plan events and prioritize tasks in an organized manner
• Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Computer proficiency of Microsoft and GoogleSuites. Ability to use/learn social media tools and relevant software.

Compensation:
Compensation commensurate with experience. St. Charles offers a full benefit package for full time employees including health benefits, pension plan, 403(b) savings plan, and paid time off.
