Job Opportunity: Part-Time Home Health Aide
Location: St Philip the Apostle Residence
Employer: Mary Help of Christians Center
The St Philip the Apostle Residence is currently seeking a compassionate and dependable Part-Time Home Health Aide to provide personal care and support for elderly members of our religious community. This role offers a unique opportunity to serve in a peaceful, faith-based environment, where respect for spiritual values and a nurturing attitude are key.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with daily living tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Monitor vital signs and assist with mobility to ensure safety and prevent falls
Offer companionship and emotional support to residents
Perform light housekeeping duties and laundry
Prepare simple, nutritious meals that follow dietary guidelines
Accompany residents to medical appointments when necessary
Communicate any health concerns to supervisors
Maintain confidentiality and uphold the dignity of each resident
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Minimum of 1 year of caregiving or home health aide experience
Patience, empathy, and a strong desire to serve others
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
Respect for religious practices and traditions
Background check and fingerprinting required
Preferred: Experience in a faith-based or religious setting.
