Job Description
A Valor Headmaster leads the school as a whole (academics, culture, operations) in fidelity to the Valor vision for education. As we continue to grow our schools and deepen our mission, we are interested in speaking with prospective Headmasters. Now accepting applications for the 26-27 school year at Valor South Austin.Valor South Austin, established in 2018, serves K-12 students in the South Austin area. Sitting on over 25 wooded acres, this 3-story campus provides our students with connections to the natural world that nourishes the heart and mind of everyone in our community.
This includes:
- Readiness to learn from and collaborate with Valor's Superintendent and executive team
- Hiring, developing, and retaining outstanding faculty, staff and school leaders
- Managing the school's budget with fiscal responsibility
- Ensuring successful, vision-aligned implementation of Valor's academic program
- Coaching teachers and school leaders to grow and excel
- Close work with the Valor Institute to develop and implement programs for faculty and students
- Engage in weekly seminars with Valor leadership
- Host a bi-weekly seminar for Valor faculty
- Direct teacher assignments and classroom schedules
- Cultivate a beautiful student culture and joyful discipline
- Stewardship of all campus operations, including special events
- Reporting and compliance
- Achieving annual student enrollment and attendance goals
- Achieving annual campus fundraising goals in collaboration with the Communications & Giving Coordinator
- Deepen and facilitate parent relationships, parent communication, and external communication
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Valor executive team
