Job Description

Oakcrest School seeks a compassionate, organized, and skilled Health Clinic Manager to promote the health and well-being of our students while supporting the school's mission of educating young women to pursue excellence, grow in virtue, and serve others. The School Nurse is a vital member of the school community, providing nursing care, health education, and guidance to students, faculty, and staff in a safe and caring environment.

This is a part-time, exempt position working 30 hours per week. Salary is $42,000-$50,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Essential Responsibilities
Provide professional nursing assessment, first aid, and care to students and employees during the school day.
Assess illnesses and injuries, determine appropriate treatment, and recommend when students should return to class, be sent home, or seek additional medical care.
Administer prescription and over-the-counter medications in accordance with physician orders and school policies.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized health care plans for students with chronic medical conditions.
Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date student health records, including immunization and medical documentation in accordance with Virginia requirements.
Monitor compliance with state immunization regulations and communicate with families regarding health documentation.
Collaborate with parents, physicians, counselors, faculty, and administrators to support student health needs.
Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and coordinate emergency response when necessary.
Maintain the health office, including medical equipment, medications, and supplies.
Assist with health screenings and wellness initiatives as appropriate.
Provide health education and guidance to students, faculty, and parents.
Participate in emergency preparedness planning and school safety initiatives.
Attend school events requiring nursing coverage as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned that support the mission and operation of the school.

Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
Minimum of two years of nursing experience preferred; pediatric, school, emergency, family practice, or community health experience is highly desirable.
Excellent clinical judgment and the ability to remain calm during emergencies.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, parents, faculty, and staff.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency with Google Suits and electronic health record systems.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a school community.

Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the campus.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Ability to respond promptly to medical emergencies in various campus locations.
Ability to perform routine nursing procedures requiring manual dexterity.

Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary of $42,000-$50,000, based on qualifications and experience.
