Job Description
Elementary Instructional Support Teacher (IST)St. Marys Catholic Elementary School is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Elementary Instructional Support Teacher (IST). This role provides targeted instructional support to students and staff through the implementation of Targeted Learning Centers (TLC) and individualized interventions to maximize student achievement.
Qualifications
• Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate (Elementary or Special Education)
• Minimum of three to five years of classroom teaching experience preferred
Position Objective
The Instructional Support Teacher (IST) supports students, faculty, and staff in implementing instructional interventions and Targeted Learning Centers (TLC) to promote academic growth and improve student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional / Professional Support
• Provide accommodations, modifications, and interventions that enable student success across academic content standards
• Support colleagues with effective implementation of Targeted Learning Centers (TLC)
• Collaborate with the Inclusion Team to develop instructional strategies aligned with student growth goals
Assessment / Intervention Support
• Assist with administering benchmark assessments and progress monitoring
• Review and analyze student and building data with the
Inclusion Team
• Support staff in closing achievement gaps by linking assessment to instruction
• Collaborate with faculty to identify innovative strategies to meet student learning needs
• Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Principal
