Job Description
The University of Saint Francis welcomes applications for the position of Director of Human Resources.The University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for the position of Human Resources Director. Saint Francis is a Catholic, Franciscan university in the liberal arts tradition. The Human Resources Director will report to the Executive Vice President, and aid in advancing the university's efforts in implementing the new mission statement and strategic plan. The successful candidate will be a mission-driven leader who is eager to support and actively contribute to the Catholic and Franciscan identity of the University of Saint Francis. Grounded in SF's Mission Statement and core values, this individual will demonstrate a deep respect for the dignity of every person, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to fostering a compassionate, ethical, and service oriented workplace culture. This candidate will bring broad and comprehensive expertise in all areas of Human Resources. They will confidently guide and manage the full scope of HR functions, including:
- Recruitment and employment
- Onboarding and offboarding
- Employee relations
- Performance management
- Compensation and benefits administration
- Payroll administration
- Policy development and administration
- Training and professional development
- HR legal and regulatory compliance
- HR information systems and process improvement
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, an approachable and trusted partner to university leadership and employees, and an effective steward of processes that enhance the employee experience while supporting the long term health of the institution. The new Human Resources Director is expected to begin serving no later than 3/20/2026.
