Job Description

Start Date: September 1, 2026

Our Lady of the Lake School in Verona, NJ, is seeking a part-time Spanish Teacher to teach students in Kindergarten through Grade 8 beginning September 1, 2026. This position is two days per week and is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who enjoys working with children in a faith-filled school community.

Position Responsibilities

Teach age-appropriate Spanish language instruction to students in grades K-8
Foster an engaging and supportive learning environment that promotes language acquisition and cultural awareness
Develop lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and best practices for elementary and middle school learners
Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and families as appropriate
Collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff
Support the mission and values of Our Lady of the Lake School and the Catholic Church

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required (Education or Spanish preferred)
Teaching certification preferred; experience teaching Spanish to children strongly desired
Fluency in Spanish
Ability to differentiate instruction for a range of learning levels
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Commitment to Catholic education and willingness to support the school's faith-based mission
