Job Description
Allclaims Pro, LLC is a licensed insurance claims adjusting firm. We're hiring an Accountant to own our financial reporting, cash management, and accounting controls. You'll potentially oversee a Bookkeeper, run the monthly close, produce financial statements leadership can actually use, and keep us compliant across payroll, tax, and treasury. This is a high trust role for someone who can both do the technical accounting and explain it to owners who don't speak the language.What You'll Do
1. Reporting & Analysis
- Own the monthly and year end close
- Prepare the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement
- Run budget-vs-actual variance analysis
- Present financial results clearly to non-financial owners and managers
- Apply GAAP, revenue recognition, and accrual/cash-basis treatment correctly
2. Accounting Oversight & Controls
- Design and maintain the chart of accounts
- Review and approve the Bookkeeper's reconciliations and journal entries
- Own fixed asset and depreciation policy and schedules
- Maintain internal controls, segregation of duties, and document retention policy
- Support workers' comp and other audits
3. Treasury & Cash Management
- Manage cash across multiple accounts and maintain the daily cash position
- Build and maintain cash flow forecasts
- Track line-of-credit draws and repayments
- Manage sweep accounts and escrow
4. Payroll & Tax Compliance
- Oversee multi-state payroll compliance and tax filings (941, 940, state) via Gusto
- Oversee SUTA/FUTA compliance across states
- Own worker classification (employee vs. contractor), garnishment policy, and ACA reporting (1094/1095)
- Manage sales/use and business personal property tax compliance
- Coordinate federal and state income tax preparation with our outside CPA (preparation experience a plus)

What We're Looking For
Required
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Demonstrated ownership of a full monthly close and GAAP financial statement preparation
- Strong treasury, cash forecasting, and multi-account management experience
- Experience designing or improving internal controls
- Ability to translate financials for non-financial stakeholders
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel and Google docs
Preferred
- CPA (active or candidate)
- Experience in insurance adjusting or other related insurance business
- Escrow/trust accounting and the related compliance and regulatory requirements
- Multi-state payroll and tax experience
- Income tax preparation experience and comfort coordinating with outside CPAs
