Job Description
Company DescriptionLab Angelus is transforming the invisible infrastructure of American diagnostics by connecting thousands of independent pathology labs that power most cancer diagnosis and treatment. Through its flagship cloud-based platform, LabDispatch , the company links pathologists, oncologists, and life-science partners to enable secure order intake, automated compliance, and real-time data exchange. This network creates faster workflows for labs, easier access for clinicians, and new visibility and utilization channels for pharmaceutical partners. Unlike traditional LIS vendors that focus on internal operations, Lab Angelus builds the connective tissue between labs to help independent practices collaborate, compete, and thrive. By aggregating de-identified diagnostic data under transparent governance, the company is pioneering Networked Diagnostic Intelligence and a national fabric of intelligent laboratories.
Role Description
The Head of Product & Technology is a full-time remote role responsible for leading the product vision, technology roadmap, and execution for Lab Angelus's platform and related services. This role oversees end-to-end product lifecycle management, from discovery and market validation to launch, iteration, and scale, ensuring the product delivers clear value to labs, clinicians, and life-science partners. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with executive leadership on strategy, guiding product managers and engineers, prioritizing feature development, and managing technical trade-offs to maintain a secure, scalable, and reliable cloud-based network. The role also involves working closely with customers and partners to gather feedback, monitor product performance, and translate insights into actionable improvements. The Head of Product & Technology will foster a culture of technical excellence, data-informed decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration across product, engineering, and commercial teams.

- Solid understanding of software development practices, system architecture, and data security/compliance (e.g., HIPAA or similar frameworks).
- Comfort working in a remote, fast-paced, and ambiguity-tolerant environment, with strong ownership and execution discipline.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Product Management, Business) or equivalent practical experience.
You Will Own:
- Product strategy, design, and continuous improvement of LabDispatch.
- Direction of our development partners and our Founding Product Engineer, and the hiring of the team that follows.
- A Python, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL platform on Google Cloud, with clinical integration through Redox.
