Job Description
St. Agnes Cathedral School is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and innovative STEM Teacher to join our faculty for the upcoming school year.The ideal candidate will inspire students through engaging, hands-on learning experiences that integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The STEM Teacher will encourage students to think creatively, solve problems, collaborate, and apply their learning to real-world challenges.
Responsibilities include:
Develop and teach engaging, hands-on STEM lessons for students
Create opportunities for students to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through inquiry and project-based learning
Incorporate problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration into instruction
Design and facilitate STEM projects, challenges, experiments, and activities
Integrate technology and age-appropriate engineering practices into the classroom
Encourage students to apply STEM concepts to real-world situations
Assess student learning and provide meaningful feedback
Maintain a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment
Collaborate with faculty and participate in the life of the school community
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in STEM or Childhood Education
New York State teaching certification preferred
Experience teaching STEM, science, technology, or related subjects preferred
Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of St. Agnes Cathedral School
