Physical Science and Chemistry Teacher

Job Description

Assumption Middle School and High School is seeking a passionate, faith-filled educator to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year as a Part-Time Physical Science and Chemistry Teacher. We are seeking a candidate who is joyful, collaborative, and committed to providing engaging, hands-on science instruction while supporting the mission and Catholic identity of Assumption Catholic Schools.

Responsibilities

-Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in Physical Science and Chemistry
-Create hands-on learning experiences and laboratory activities that promote scientific inquiry and critical thinking
-Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of a variety of learners
-Maintain a structured, safe, and welcoming classroom environment that promotes a love of learning
-Assess student progress and maintain accurate academic records
-Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues as needed
-Foster spiritual development and model Catholic values in daily interactions
-Maintain positive behavior expectations aligned with school policies
-Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school initiatives as appropriate for a part-time faculty member
-Adhere to all policies and expectations set forth by the Diocese of La Crosse

Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in Science, Chemistry, Education, or a related field preferred
-Valid Wisconsin teaching license in an appropriate science area (or eligibility to obtain one)
-Experience teaching Physical Science and/or Chemistry preferred
-Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
-Ability to create engaging, hands-on science learning experiences
-A demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and the mission of Assumption Catholic Schools
