Job Description
Position SummaryHoly Ghost Preparatory School is seeking a full-time Human Resources Manager. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the primary responsibilities include supporting the daily human resources operations of the school which will include ensuring compliance with the school's policies and employment regulations. This individual will also assist with the recruitment for open positions within the school along with employee relations, benefits administration, assist with the planning and administration of certain employee trainings and wellness programs, onboarding, and HR record management while promoting a positive work culture. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual, willing to work in a high caliber, academic environment.
This a full-time exempt 'in-person' position, as the individual in this position is required to be on campus 5 days a week.
Essential Functions
1. Support the recruitment process including posting jobs, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews
2. Coordinate new hire onboarding and employee orientation
3. Maintain employee records and HR documentation in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
4. Administer payroll and all payroll related functions through the school's payroll provider
5. Coordinate benefits administration, serve as the point for employee inquiries, and open enrollment processes
6. Support employee relations by responding to HR-related questions and helping resolve workplace concerns in a respectful, professional and confidential manner
7. Assist with performance management processes and employee development initiatives.
8. Serve as the point person for maintaining and updating the school's Employee Handbook, ensuring that all changes in school policies are properly and accurately reflected
9. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
10. Serve as the point for ensuring that all employees are up to date with clearances and background checks, etc.
11. Collaborate on the administration of training(s) for the faculty and staff (including athletic coaches) that address topics related to wellness, safe environment, and other related topics
12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Preference will be given to individuals that bring both a technical competence as well as an emotional intelligence to the role. Candidates must be able to demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to follow-through. Candidates should also demonstrate sound judgement and discretion with confidential information, be flexible and have a team-oriented approach, and have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications and Experience
1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
2. 3-5 years of human resources including payroll and other related administrative experience
3. Knowledge of HR practices and employment laws
4. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
5. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Compensation/Requirements
Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
