Weekend Maternity Home Worker

Job Description

Mary's Inn, a faith-based maternity home in Dubuque, Iowa is seeking mature women with a variety of life experiences to join our team. Successful candidates will have experience working in the fields of substance abuse, homelessness, or mental health, and who are able to show compassion and understanding for girls who have chosen life for their babies.

Shifts available:

Every other Saturday 9 am - 11 pm

Every Sunday 9 am - 11 pm

EXPERIENCE:

Working with women who have a history of substance abuse, homelessness, or mental health diagnosis (e.g, PTSD, depression, anxiety, bipolar, borderline, etc.)

REQUIRED:
1) A strong Christian faith

2) Experience in the fields of substance abuse, homelessness, or mental health.

3) High school diploma or GED

4) Able to pass a criminal, sex offender, and abuse background check

5) Able to pass a drug screening

6) Physically able to walk up and down stairs and ability to lift 25 pounds

7) Possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation & current car insurance

PREFERRED:

1) Experience raising children through adulthood.

2) Experience with Trauma Informed Care and/or Motivational Interviewing.
