The Teen Discipleship Coordinator is a SPIRITUS employee who focuses on developing relationships with local high school students, planning and executing weekly discipleship nights, creating advertising and social media posts, and creating a warm, welcoming environment where students can feel known and heard. This person will be responsible for working with and leading SPIRITUS Discipleship Interns, who will be trained to be an integral part of this initiative, and the Coordinator will supervise them directly.

This person is organized, strategic and creative, and above all Christ-centered and motivated by a heart for youth. This position requires excellent engagement with parents, school and parish leaders, as well as the students they are ministering to.

Responsibilities:
Work with local parishes, schools and apostolates to build relationships with local teens and invite them to weekly discipleship groups at the Mount Tabor Center

Bring teens into relationship with Jesus through engaging talks and activities, and by leading exemplary discipleship-focused small group discussion

Think creatively about how to effectively inspire students to reflect on their encounters with Christ and foster a desire for them to pursue Christ in their own life

Work in collaboration with local Youth Ministry leaders

Lead the SPIRITUS Discipleship Interns, modeling excellence in discipling youth

Give presentations to local groups of teens on discerning vocations and their own call to holiness

Create and implement social media and event advertising to further the discipleship programs

Gain ministry skills while learning to develop your own program

Work collaboratively with missionaries and staff and be open to learning new skills

Help with other duties as assigned

Accountability:
The Teen Discipleship Coordinator will meet regularly with the SPIRITUS Director of Discipleship for training, support, feedback and leadership coaching.

The Teen Discipleship Coordinator will collaborate with other staff members to complete tasks.

The Teen Discipleship Coordinator will meet regularly with the Executive Director and Assistant Director for support, updates and feedback about various projects.
