Custodial Maintenance Tech

Job Description

The Facilities/Custodial team member is responsible for the routine and comprehensive maintenance of the OLMC Complex, including significant janitorial cleaning duties. The role coordinates the setup and takedown of furniture and equipment for parish-wide events across the church, school, and parish hall communicating closely with the facilities director, principal and pastor, and repairing and cleaning tables and chairs as needed.

Additional duties include troubleshooting minor plumbing issues, replacing light bulbs and fixtures, keeping entrances and exits clear of debris, and assisting with snow removal. The worker maintains supply inventories and submits reorder requests, assists with preventative maintenance, and may serve as a lead worker in the supervisor's absence, directing volunteers and short-term staff. Security responsibilities include locking and unlocking buildings, reporting unauthorized occupants, checking doors and windows, and ensuring lights and appliances are turned off when not in use. He or she also performs other duties as assigned by the facilities manager.
