Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry

The Catholic Diocese of Green Bay is currently seeking a Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry who can foster a culture of evangelization and discipleship for youth and young adults.

The Youth and Young Adult Director provides leadership and support for parishes to build a culture of evangelization - especially with youth and young adults. This position will be responsible for the formation of leaders serving in parish youth and young adult ministry as all parishes strive to accompany young people along their journey of faith. This position will also be a resource to the Curia and to parishes on the ongoing development of resources, effective models, and best practices for the evangelization of young people across our diocese. In close collaboration with the Youth Evangelization Coordinator, this position will work to identify the challenges facing young people today and implementing evangelization strategies that work to bring young people into relationship with Jesus and His Church.

The ideal candidate will be a practicing Catholic in good standing and have a bachelor's degree in religious studies or related field (master's preferred). Must be a practicing Catholic, a member in good standing with a Diocesan Catholic parish, be living consistent with his/her vocation and possess a strong faith commitment dedicated to the Gospel values and living a life of prayer and service. Have 5+ years of experience in a catechetical or evangelization position at the parish or diocesan level. Position requires an understanding of evangelization processes as they pertain to youth, young adults, and adults. Excellent familiarity with applicable Church documents concerning evangelization including but not limited to Evangelii Nuntiandi, Evangelii Gaudium, Go and Make Disciples, Disciples Called to Witness, and Living as Missionary Disciples. Must have a valid Driver's License and be eligible for coverage under diocesan fleet automobile insurance.
