Coordinator of Youth & Young Adult MinistryDiocese of Green Bay / Curia
Full-Time, Benefit Eligible
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Coordinator of Youth and Young Adult Ministry fosters outreach to young people through evangelization, catechesis, and formation on the parish and diocesan level. Under the direction of the Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry, the coordinator works to support parish youth ministers, campus ministers, and young adult ministry teams to offer experiences for youth and young adults that draws them into deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Must be a practicing Catholic, a member in good standing of a Diocesan Catholic parish, be living consistent with his/her vocation and possess a strong faith commitment dedicated to the Gospel values and living a life of prayer and service.
• Understands how a personal relationship with Our Lord Jesus Christ is central to the development and formation of young people and their families.
• Knows that the process of discipleship and encounter is different for each person yet has underlying tenets which are common for each person's journey.
• Bachelor's degree in Theology, Catechetics, Education, or a related field is preferred.
• Has experience in parish or school life evangelizing and forming young people.
• Requires ongoing study and growth in theology.
• Must possess strong oral and written communication skills, leadership and administrative skills, listening skills, decision-making skills, program development skills, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity and experience with youth and adult learning styles.
• Strong technical and social media capability including Facebook, Twitter, Flocknote etc.
• Must be able to plan, organize, and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and the parish and school community as well as establish and maintain effective relationships.
• Must be able to handle multiple projects and priorities as required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
