Donor Relations Associate

Job Description

The Donor Relations Associate provides administrative support to the Director of Development. This position serves as the primary point of contact for donors, answers inquiries and fosters donor relationships, especially with monthly donors. In addition, the position assists with fundraising events.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Provides customer service and stewardship to donors, responding to email and phone inquiries, and resolving issues or routing appropriately;
2. Communicates with monthly donors regarding starting or changing their donations;
3. Prepares reports on the status of sustaining donors and tracks outreach;
4. Verifies or looks up contact information for new donors;
5. Conducts prospect research for major donors and prepares reports;
6. Assists in the preparation of grant proposals;
7. Assists Director of Special Events with research and outreach to sponsors; helps with seating, registration and sign-in at events
8. Organizes and tracks departmental invoices and prepares invoices for payment

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required
• Some development experience, preferably with a non-profit/religious organization
• Excellent written, spoken and interpersonal skills,
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft products.
• Strong attention to detail and process
• Knowledge of Raiser's Edge or other data-base system a plus
• Understanding of the Catholic Church

Working conditions:
• This is a full-time in-person position
• Must be able to work at computer most of the workday and lift 25 pounds
