Job Description

We are seeking a teacher with special education experience to assist in running our learning center for our 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate would help the school to:
(1) increase the efficiency of existing and new students with special needs
(2) assist current special needs students to become more integrated and connected with their general education teachers.
The following qualities would be preferred:
*Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
*Teaching experience; understands classroom dynamics.
*Previously worked with students with mild learning disabilities (i.e., struggling to assimilate new skills) and behavior problems (i.e., ADHD, non-attentiveness).
*Have an understanding of teacher lesson plans.
*Familiar with best practices and positive behavior strategies.
*Understands small school climate vs. large school climate.
*Understanding of the individual needs of students and how it applies to the function of the entire classroom.
Candidates must be loyal, practicing Catholics who are motivated, organized, and possess a deep love for God, others and a passion for communicating that love. A genuine affection and love and talent for teaching rounds out the ideal candidate. We are a traditional, classical Academy. Training and support is provided.
