JOB TITLE: Full-time Lower School Physical Education Teacherand Teacher Assistant
Job Description:
Chelsea Academy is seeking a highly motivated full-time faculty member to teach Physical Education to grades K-5 and support lower school classrooms during the 2025-2026 academic year. Desired candidate should be a joyful disciple, have a knowledge and appreciation of the Catholic intellectual tradition, classical and liberal arts pedagogy, a passion for educating and forming Christian youth, and a spirit of adventure. Important characteristics include: competence in physical education theories and application, a focus on student learning, classroom management skills, ability to collaborate on a team, flexibility and enthusiasm.

Qualifications:
1. Required: Practicing Catholic in good standing
2. Required: Bachelor's Degree; experience and/or education in physical education
3. Preferred: Master's Degree; Virginia Teacher's License (not required)
4. Other Desired Qualifications:
Ability to develop and deliver effective lesson plans
Ability to manage well a classroom environment
Ability to relate well with students
Ability to be flexible with daily schedule
Polished and effective oral and written communication skills
Willingness and flexibility to work in a smaller-school environment and with classroom teachers in supporting student learning
Compensation and Benefits: Competitive and commensurate with experience.
