Food Service Worker

Job Description

Holy Family High School is seeking a qualified full-time Food Service Worker for the 2026-2027 academic year. The Food Service Worker supports the school's food service program by preparing and serving meals in a safe, sanitary, and team-oriented environment.
Schedule:
Mon-Fri: 7:00 am - 2:00 pm while school is in session
Essential Responsibilities:
Food Prep & Service: Follow school recipes and safety protocols to prepare and serve meals to students, staff, and the community.
Kitchen Care: Maintain a clean, sanitized workspace and care for commercial equipment (ovens, slicers, mixers).
Operations: Operate the cash register/computer and assist with food storage and labeling.
Collaboration: Work positively with teammates and provide excellent customer service to parents and students.
Requirements:
Skills: Basic math (recipe scaling), English reading, and clear communication.
Testing: Must pass basic math and recipe reading tests upon hire.
Certifications: Obtain Colorado Department of Public Health food handling/sanitation certificates within one year.
Physical Demands: Must be able to stand/walk for long periods and regularly lift up to 25 lbs. (occasionally up to 50 lbs.)
Work Environment:
Fast-paced commercial kitchen with exposure to heat, cleaning chemicals, and mechanical equipment. Requires strict adherence to safety and hygiene regulations to prevent accidents and ensure public health.
