Schedule: Full-time; Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., some evenings and weekends; some travel is required

POSITION SUMMARY
Franciscan University is seeking a highly motivated and visionary leader to fill the role of Director of Alumni Relations. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving our Alumni Engagement Plan, a plan that centers around lifetime engagement of a nationwide alumni base, moving alumni from attraction, to connection, to affection, to influence. This position demands a dynamic individual with a proven track record of achieving results, a strong communicator in all forms, and a candidate willing to embrace the University's core values of conversion, community and encounter in all aspects of alumni outreach.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategic Leadership: Evolve and grow a robust, lifetime Alumni Engagement Plan utilizing a wide range of internal resources and external allies to achieve meaningful relationships with alumni.
2. Innovative Growth: Bring Franciscan Mission across the country by building and growing alumni chapters as a way to decentralize alumni engagement.
3. Operational Excellence: Oversee all aspects of alumni event planning, logistics, and execution to ensure seamless operations and an exceptional Alumni experience.
4. Strategic Communications: Utilize a wide range of communication formats (email, web, social media, text, etc.) to share the mission of Franciscan University and engage participation from Alumni.
5. Volunteer Empowerment: Cultivate and empower volunteers for growing and enhancing the goals of Alumni Relations, Institutional Advancement and the Mission of Franciscan University.
6. Continuous Improvement: Embrace and enhance a feedback mechanism (surveys, etc.) for continuous improvement, analyzing data and participant feedback to refine and optimize future engagement.
7. Team Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to the Alumni Office team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and results-driven performance.

REQUIREMENTS
Must understand, support and embrace the mission of Franciscan University of Steubenville and possess the following:

Technical Skills
1. Proficiency with Slate CRM is a plus, or other CRM products
2. Proficiency with all Microsoft suite products is a plus
Non-Technical Skills (Competencies):
1. Proven Leadership Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Project Management and/or Events Management.
2. Results-Driven Mindset: A proven ability to set and achieve ambitious goals, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and a commitment to achieving measurable outcomes.
3. Strategic Thinker: An innovative and strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute long-term plans that align with organizational goals.
4. Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey the mission and vision of the University through all mediums of communication.
5. Collaborative Spirit: A collaborative and inspirational leadership style, with the ability to work effectively with various teams, stakeholders and partners.
Education & Experience:
1. Strong Academic Background:
a. A bachelor's degree is required. The ideal candidate will have a background in business, communications, event management, or a related field.
Workplace Factors:
1. Some evening and weekend hours are required throughout the year
2. Travel is required
