Job Description
HOW YOU WILL IMPACT THE BIG PICTURE:As Human Resources Director, you'll serve as a key leader advancing EWTN's mission by creating a culture that reflects our Catholic values while ensuring operational excellence. You'll support our Vice President of Human Resources in overseeing key functions including benefits, compensation, HR systems, and regulatory compliance, and provide strategic leadership to promote a positive and respectful work environment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Benefits/Compensation/Compliance:
• Oversee comprehensive employee benefits administration (health, dental, vision, life/disability, FSA, retirement, and leave programs)
• Manage relationships with benefit vendors and brokers to ensure service quality
• Coordinate annual 403(b) retirement plan audits with internal and external stakeholders
• Lead salary administration activities, including annual reviews and market analysis
• Maintain employee handbook and HR policies in alignment with legal requirements
HRIS and Reporting:
• Manage HRIS platform to ensure accurate employee data and efficient workflows
• Generate and analyze HR reports (turnover, headcount, compensation metrics) to support strategic decisions
Process Improvement & Program Oversight:
• Lead process improvement initiatives that optimize HR operations and employee experience
• Oversee new hire orientation program to ensure effective onboarding and cultural integration
Leadership & Supervision:
• Supervise Benefits Specialist and HR Generalist, providing mentorship and professional development
• Partner with leadership to support staffing plans, employee relations, and performance management
• Champion HR initiatives that promote employee engagement and mission-driven workplace culture
ABOUT YOU:
• 7+ years progressive HR experience with 3+ years in leadership roles
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• Strong knowledge of benefits administration, compensation, HRIS, and employment law
• Experience with vendor management and retirement plan audits (403(b).
• Practicing Catholic with ability to lead with faith-based values aligned with EWTN's mission
• Excellent communication and analytical skills with ability to handle sensitive situations tactfully
• Proficiency with HR software (Paylocity preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and travel occasionally
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR) strongly preferred
• Non-profit experience helpful
