Job Description
The music teacher is responsible for introducing both the sacred and secular musical tradition to students in grades K-8. The teacher will provide an introduction to technical musical concepts such as beat, rhythm and pitch . The music teacher exposes students to musical scales, musical notation, the art of singing, different types of musical instruments and different styles of music. The music teachers also teaches students about the history of music, as well as introducing them to the music of many legendary musicians and composers. Additionally, the music teacher may be required to prepare students for public performances such as: Christmas/Advent musical performance, 8th Grade Graduation Liturgy Music, and other potential musical performances.About the Employer
