ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PRINCIPAL for 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR:

St. Jerome Catholic School is a Catholic community in Phoenix, Arizona, educating more than 180 students in preschool through eighth grade. The school seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated Principal who is a Catholic educator and faith leader. In partnership with parents and the parish community, the Principal fosters a Christ centered culture that forms the whole child and advances academic excellence, helping students see God in all and respond with compassion and service as they grow in knowledge, in God's wisdom, and in leadership.

Job Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated principal who is passionate about the Catholic faith, Catholic education, and committed to nurturing a diverse student body. The ideal candidate will embrace the challenges and opportunities of leading a long-established school, working collaboratively with the Pastor, staff, parents, and the parish community to create a nurturing and academically excellent environment. A strong emphasis on upholding and promoting the Catholic identity of the school is essential, ensuring that faith is integrated into all aspects of the educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the school in its mission to educate the whole child through learning, faith, and service.
Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that honors the diverse backgrounds of our students.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and the parish community to support student success.
Lead and support the development and implementation of high-quality instructional practices to enhance student learning and achievement.
Oversee curriculum development and ensure alignment with educational standards and the school's Catholic mission.
Provide guidance and professional development opportunities for teachers to ensure effective teaching strategies and continuous improvement.
Foster a collaborative learning environment where staff can share knowledge and strategies to enhance teaching and learning.
Implement and uphold standards of behavior that reflect the school's values and ensure a safe, respectful, and faith-filled school environment.
Actively engage with the local community to build strong relationships and partnerships.
Ensure enrollment by recruiting new students and maintaining current student enrollment through effective enrollment management, marketing, and community outreach efforts.
Encourage and facilitate community service projects that involve students, staff, and families.
Manage school finances and resources effectively.
Work closely with the Pastor and School Advisory Council.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

Salary is negotiable based on experience, education, and credentials. Benefits include employee health insurance, retirement, sick leave, short-term disability, and social security.
