Job Opening 2025-2026 School Year
Assistant Athletic Trainer
Mullen High School is seeking to hire an energetic committed individual to serve as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. This is a part-time, opening for the 2025-2026 School Year.
Mullen High School is a Lasallian, Catholic, and college preparatory school conducted in the tradition of the Christian Brothers to give a human and Christian education to the young, especially the poor, as established in our five Lasallian Core Principles. The Department of Athletics at Mullen High School has an opening for an Assistant Athletic Trainer.
This is a part-time position for the 2025-2026 school year.
Compensation is $35/hour up to 10 hours a week.
This is at will employment and is not benefit eligible.

Essential Job Functions
Catholic and Lasallian Identity
Understands, emphasizes and supports the Lasallian and Catholic nature of the school at all times and through all responsibilities and programs in this case, ensuring that travel experiences are connected to curriculum and to the Core Principles. Models the role of coach to promote student behavior that is supportive, and conducive, to the
implementation of the school's instructional programs and goals.
Exemplifies and upholds the expectations and actions of Lasallian professionalism among all staff.

Athletic Training Job Duties
Adhere to NATA Code of Ethics as a practicing Athletic Trainer, professionally working as a member of the Athletic Health Care Team while aligning with team physician standing orders.
Provide Athletic Training services for Mullen student-athletes, ranging from basic first aid and injury triage, to rehabilitation of ongoing injuries and managing return to play progressions.
Coverage of Mullen Athletic team practices and competitions, including evenings and weekends.
Coverage assignments are coordinated with the Director of Sports Medicine.
Prepared to respond to emergencies, and activating venue-specific Emergency Action Plans.
Maintain a line of communication with the Full-Time Athletic Training Staff regarding athletic health care and recommended treatment/rehabilitation for all athletic injuries.
Engage positively and collaboratively with Mullen sports performance and Mullen sport coaches.
Maintain communication with parents on the care, treatment, and referral of their student-athlete.
File all necessary reports associated with athletic injuries and/or incidents.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
General
Understanding of and commitment to the Lasallian and Catholic nature of the school.
Strong decision-making, analytical and organizational skills.
May need to lift items up to 50lbs
Communication and Relationship
Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with all people, including those from diverse backgrounds.
Excellent interpersonal relations and oral and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from parents, administrators, community stakeholders, etc.
Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with students, school personnel, parents, vendors, peers and other stakeholders.
Ability to understand and be sensitive to those of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Ability to use tact, patience and courtesy when dealing with others.
Advanced skill in dealing with students and staff with diverse needs at various levels.
Knowledge of understanding of adolescent physical, emotional, and intellectual development.

Qualifications
BOC certified and DORA Licensed
MA from an accredited Athletic Training Education Program
Possesses an enthused love for Sports Medicine and has a desire help and advocate for high school
Student Athletes
Work within the framework of a Lasallian, Catholic, and College Prep institution
