Job Description

Alumni Engagement and Development Manager

Mullen High School is seeking to hire an energetic, committed individual to serve as the Alumni Engagement & Development Manager.

This is a full-time, at-will opening.

The Alumni Engagement & Development Manager will promote and extend Mullen's Lasallian mission within the Development Office and is primarily responsible for building and advancing meaningful alumni and donor relationships. This position will oversee programming to build rapport among alumni and donor constituents and will support the Annual Giving efforts targeting the alumni and past parent segments. The focus of this position is to work with the team in a very collaborative and proactive nature, working with other departments, while taking ownership of the planning, preparation, and execution of
engagement activities.

The Alumni Engagement and Development Manager reports to the Director of Annual Giving and Grants.

Salary Range: $59,540 - $73,264 depending on education and background Mullen reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.

Essential Job Functions include:

A. Alumni Engagement and Communication
Relationship Cultivation: Personally cultivate relationships with alumni to encourage their philanthropic support.
Program Development: Coordinate major alumni-focused events, such as Alumni Weekend, networking opportunities, class reunions, family Easter Egg Roll and Hunt, and mentoring programs.
Alumni Relations Management: Build and maintain meaningful relationships with alumni through targeted programs, events, and communications across Mullen's 9,000+ alumni network.
Campus Tours & Hospitality: Host alumni for campus tours, providing a welcoming, informative, and mission-centered experience that strengthens their connection to Mullen.
Content Creation & Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing and Communications to create compelling content for fundraising and alumni engagement while leading the development of alumni communications across social media, email, newsletters, and events.
Departmental Coordination: Coordinate with other school departments (Athletics, Performing Arts, etc.) to involve alumni in school initiatives and volunteer opportunities.
Mission Integration: Coordinate with the Director of Pastoral Life to host Remembrance Masses twice a year in celebration of the school's
Catholic identity.
Event Analysis: Utilize Raiser's Edge NXT to track projected event attendance, manage mailing lists, and create briefing materials and activity analysis for leadership.
Representation: Represent the school at community events, alumni gatherings, and other external functions.

B. Fundraising Support and Development
Strategy Execution: Partnering with the Development Office to create fundraising strategies.
Annual Planning: Working with the Director of Annual Giving and Grants on revenue targets and donor cultivation plans.
Solicitation Support: Support the Development team in soliciting prospects by identifying and qualifying high-potential alumni, sometimes assisting the President & CEO, Development team,
and leadership volunteers during outreach.
Event Execution: Responsible for the full execution of meetings, events, and donor gifts that advance strategic fundraising objectives, in close collaboration with the Development team.
Stewardship: Develop special stewardship projects and personalized experiences and activities to cultivate and steward donors and alumni.
Project Management: Support the Development Office with project management of programs, new initiatives, and appeals.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: 3 years of professional experience in education or a related field including alumni engagement, development, stewardship, advancement services, non-profit, and/or educational institutions.
Event Experience: Experience planning high-profile events focused on building and increasing awareness of campus priorities, ranging in size from 5-500 attendees.
Fundraising Knowledge: Strong knowledge of fundraising principles and strategies, including experience in donor cultivation and stewardship.
Social Media Proficiency: Proficient with social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Linkedin, with demonstrated ability to create engaging content and manage
campaigns.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in CRM software (Raiser's Edge NXT strongly preferred), Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Applications.
Work Ethic: Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines independently, work collaboratively with colleagues, and maintain a high level of accuracy and a positive work environment.
