Job Description

Chesterton Academy of The Holy Family (CATHF) is in search of an outstanding marketing professional to assume the role of Marketing and Communications Coordinator. This individual will play a pivotal role in managing the school website, overseeing content management, and contributing to the school's overall communication strategy. Requirements:

- Ability to motivate and inspire confidence with faculty, parents, and school leadership.
- Proficiency in website design, superb communication skills, and the ability to multitask.
- Experience in social media, email marketing, and web page updates.
- Passion for working in a highly collaborative environment with excellent rapport-building skills.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and implement creative ideas within the brand standards provided by the Chesterton Schools Network.
- Manage and maintain the CATHF website, ensuring current and engaging content, and support daily web interfacing and design.
- Facilitate webpage functionality and produce the Chesterton Weekly e-newsletter.
- Actively seek content from CATHF constituents for webpage content.
- Collaborate with the President and Board to enhance branding and articulate the school's vision to the community.
- Contribute to annual advertising strategies and school publicizing campaigns.
- Engage with the school community via various social media platforms.
- Oversee marketing materials creation in Canva, including videos for publicity, event recaps, and overall school promotion.
- Supervise all public-facing written communications from the school, including the Annual Report and various Admissions and Advancement materials.
- Serve as an in-house graphic designer for a portion of collateral when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Advancement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, digital media, or journalism.
- One to two years of related experience; experience with marketing activities and events is a plus.
- Practicing Catholic with a comprehensive understanding of the Catholic faith.
- Knowledge of HTML and Squarespace is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, Constant Contact, and Canva.
- Experience with photography and videography.
- Familiarity with basic audio-visual for meeting rooms and digital display outputs.
Physical Requirements:
- Talking on the phone, sitting for long periods, standing at events, and taking video and photography.
Location:
- Lisle, IL.
Travel Requirements:
- Approximately 4 days of travel during the summer for a Chesterton Schools Network Conference.
- Opportunity for travel to the Senior Pilgrimage to Italy.
Type of Employment:
- Full-time in-person position; some nights and weekends required for events.
Oath of Fidelity:
- As a condition of continued employment, candidates must be practicing Roman Catholics in good standing and willing to sign the oath of fidelity to the Magisterium.
Salary:
Commensurate with experience. Benefits include medical, dental, and a 401K sharing plan.
