Teacher - Science Grades 5 and 6

Job Description

St. Mary School in Williamstown, NJ is seeking a 5th and 6th grade Science Teacher who will be responsible for providing a nurturing, faith-filled, and academically rigorous classroom environment that supports the spiritual, moral, social, and intellectual development of each student. Responsibilities also include teaching religion and social studies to 5th grade.
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons in Religion (grade 5), Social Studies (grade 5) and Science for grades 5 and 6.
Incorporate prayer, liturgical celebrations, and Catholic teachings throughout the school day.
Use a variety of instructional strategies and assessments to meet diverse learning needs and evaluate student progress.
Maintain open and effective communication with parents, administration, and colleagues.
Establish routines and classroom procedures that support behavior expectations and student responsibility.
Candidates MUST be a practicing Catholic. Documentation from registered parish will be required. Bachelor's degree required, valid teaching certification preferred, and demonstrated experience in Catholic education is a plus. Must live within a reasonable amount of miles (20-25) to the school.
