Job Description
Sacred Heart Catholic Church is seeking an experienced and organized accounting professional to serve as Parish Director of Administration / Business Manager. This role will oversee and coordinate the financial and administrative operations of the parish, ensuring effective stewardship of resources in support of our mission and ministries.Position Summary
The Business Manager is responsible for the execution of all bookkeeping and accounting functions as well as the management of parish administrative operations. This includes:
• Financial management (accounts payable/receivable, payroll, offertory, bank reconciliation, reporting)
• Human resources (onboarding, benefits administration, insurance claims, retirement plans)
• Contract and vendor management
• Facilities and property oversight
• Risk management and security
• Administration of parish software and record-keeping systems
This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits, Monday-Friday schedule, with some evening work required. The position reports directly to the Pastor. Salary and start date are negotiable depending on experience.
Recommended Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, Management, or related field
• Minimum three years of experience in accounting and business management
• Strong knowledge of finance and experience managing significant non-profit budgets
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
