Job Description

The Marian Fathers is a Catholic organization producing videos and television content promoting the teaching of the Catholic Church. Our weekly television show, Living Divine Mercy, is broadcast on EWTN (Eternal Word Television Network) and can reach over 400 million households worldwide. We are currently in our 5th season having produced over 200 episodes. We also produce video content each week for our streaming site, DivineMercyPlus.org, as well as for multiple social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).

We are currently seeking a Video/Television Producer to manage both the creative and administrative aspects of our productions, from pre- to post-production. The successful candidate is someone who thrives in a dynamic atmosphere and can keep many plates spinning all at once. In one moment, you are serving as air traffic controller to meet a production deadline, and the next you are fine-tuning the details of contracts with outside resources.

This is a managerial position with both in-person and remote direct reports. Candidates should also have experience managing freelance field producers. Being able to lead a diverse and widespread team is critical in the role's overall success. The Video/Television Producer role is ideal for someone who enjoys new challenges and is quickly able to pivot when the schedule does not go as planned.

The Video/Television Producer duties and responsibilities are, yet are not limited to:
- Supervise the entire production process
- Find and develop new show concepts, working closely with clergy
- Manage the team to produce the shows and videos
- Resolve conflicts during production
- Create timeline for the projects
- Outline a long-term working schedule
- Obtain the necessary rights to any works used
- Assist with writing and editing scripts
- Coordinate production meetings and shoots
- Manage, guide, and coordinate the activities of independent contract production personnel
- Seeing the production through from conception to final cut to distribution
- Ensure that the final product is of the highest quality

Producer skills and qualifications
- Need to be creative to think of and develop new ideas and shows
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to plan budgets and schedules strategically
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to multi-task and manage time well
- Experience using equipment, such as cameras and microphones
- Willing to work with and motivate a team
- Understanding of common writing and editing software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A strong understanding of the Catholic faith is preferable

Experience
- Bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism, filmmaking or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of related full-time work experience

We offer a complete benefits package including medical, dental, vision, sick and vacation time. Salary commensurate with experience. Immediate opening. Must be self-motivated, reliable and have attention to detail. References required.
