Gym Teacher

Job Description

St. Gregory the Great is looking for an individual that is looking to teach at a private Catholic School located on the border of Queens and Nassau County. This is a Part Time position.

Requirements for the position:
- Practicing Catholic (recommended)
- NYS Certified Physical Education Teacher
- Masters Degree Preferred, but Bachelors working towards master's is accepted.
- Collaborative spirit: Willing to work with a group to maintain/improve school standing
- Ability to create a structured Gym environment, centered on student engagement and foundational skills.
- Apply Winter and Spring Fitness Testing to show student growth.
- Great communication skills with parents and faculty/staff
- Enthusiastic: someone that is willing to learn and grow in their field.

Teacher is responsible for teaching Gym 2x per week to grades Pre-K-8th. Teacher is responsible for Health grades for Pre-K through 8th. Teacher is also responsible for facilitating Field Day.
