Job Description

Regina Pacis Academy is the first Catholic school in the state of Connecticut and one of the first twenty schools nationwide to earn the honor of being a Newman Guide recommended school. We are in an exciting period of growth and are seeking a dedicated and skilled Math and Science teacher for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.

This is a full-time position for an experienced teacher who enjoys communicating the joy and wonder of mathematics and the natural sciences to middle schoolers. The math subjects to be taught are pre-algebra and algebra, with classroom cohorts spanning grade-level and above grade-level students. The science subjects are Earth Science (Grade 6), Physical Science (Grade 7), and Biology (Grade 8), with regular lab components.

The ideal candidate should have at least two years of classroom experience teaching math and/or science. In the area of math instruction, applicants should be familiar with the demands of bringing students up to grade-level proficiency, as well as of challenging advanced learners within the same math classroom environment. For science instruction, the teacher is expected to deliver informative lectures and foster inquisitive discussions; the teacher will plan and execute laboratory assignments that are tailored to the Next Generation Science Standards.

The minimum degree requirement is a bachelors in a STEM major. The salary range is commensurate with years of teaching experience and credentials.
