St. Peter's Home, a high-quality educational program serving children ages 6 weeks to 6 years, is hiring Lead Teachers, Associate Teachers, and Assistant Teachers to join the childcare team! We are looking for caring, dependable, and enthusiastic individuals who truly enjoy working with young children and want to make a positive difference in their early years.Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM-5:30 PM

Job Type: Full-Time
POSITION SUMMARY: All teachers work in collaboration to provide a stimulating, safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate educational environment where children have the opportunity to develop cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Setting up the physical environment to promote cognitive learning and self-help skills, while adhering to state guidelines.
- Managing classroom behaviors and maintaining an emotionally positive classroom through appropriate guidance techniques such as redirection, balance of activities, planned transitions, and logical consequences.
- Constructing and implementing daily, weekly, and monthly lesson plans.
- Providing a monthly newsletter to families outlining key activities and reminders.
- Providing semi-annual evaluations of the children and their development.
- Working with other staff to create a professional work environment, modeling healthy interactions with the children.
- Supervising or encouraging other staff as needed.
- Seeking out guidance from administration when needed.
- Ensuring that child/teacher ratios are maintained per state guidelines and reporting immediately to administration if such ratios are endangered.
- Cleaning and disinfecting classroom equipment and areas and sending toys down to be sanitized on a daily schedule.
- Maintaining 12 hours of training that relates to the classroom and current best practices as required by the state of NH.
- Maintaining current CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Performing similar or related duties as assigned or requested.
