Job Description

Director of Junior High
Responsibilities: In close collaboration with the Principal, the Director of the Junior High ensures that the mission of St. Cecilia Academy is lived among the junior high faculty and students by immediately overseeing the junior high academic program. In particular, the Director guides the Art of Living course and may also teach in this department. The Director of the Junior High is first an educator who can lead teachers by word and example. The Director oversees Junior High student events and implements student life policies in a way that embodies the Catholic understanding of what makes for true human flourishing, thereby giving the students an experience of a culture rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Qualifications: a minimum of a bachelor's degree with a background in teaching junior high students and experience mentoring teachers; strong organizational and event planning skills; excellent communication skills; dedication to Catholic education; understanding of challenges girls face today and the ability to speak to their heart, helping them walk in the freedom of truth and love.
